Sam Hurd: Any Team Would Be Insane to Pick Up Troubled Wide Receiver
Sam Hurd, who was just released from both prison and the Chicago Bears, is looking for a new place to call home.
Now, I ask you this.
Would you want a wide receiver, who was just busted for trying to distribute 500 grams of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana (per week!), on your team?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I'm guessing no, but apparently NFL teams don't think the same way.
According to the Chicago Tribune's Brad Biggs, Hurd isn't ready to call it quits for this season.
"Attorney for ex #Bears WR Sam Hurd told reporters Hurd is hopeful another team will pick him up this season," said Biggs through his Twitter account yesterday.
Are you freaking kidding me?
It would be one thing if we were talking about Andre Johnson or a good receiver. Maybe an organization would be able to conveniently look the other way if it thought it could actually get some helpful production.
But we're talking about Sam Hurd. The same Sam Hurd who has eight catches in 12 games this season for just 109 yards.
The same Sam Hurd who's best season with the Dallas Cowboys came in 2007 when he had 19 catches for 314 yards and one touchdown.
The same Sam Hurd that is a felon.
Are there really teams out there that are this desperate for a wide receiver? A team willing to take on a guy with off-the-field problems this big and production this small?
Again, are you freaking kidding me?
Either Sam Hurd and his attorney are seriously delusional, which is the likely case, or some NFL team showing interest is under the impression Hurd is actually someone else.
Whatever the case, signing Hurd to any type of contract would be ridiculous and ignorant. He is not even close to being worth it.
