Tim Tebow: Should Michael Vick Be More Like Broncos QB on the Field?
The world is immersed in Tim Tebow right now. For better or worse, the Broncos' second-year quarterback has taken over as the hottest topic in sports because his team is winning games.
Michael Vick has not had the season that most of us were expecting due to injuries and problems with his offensive line. He is still a solid player, but has lost that game changing ability that made him so dangerous throughout his career.
NFL legend Jim Brown has joined the fray and spoken out on what he thinks makes Tebow effective, and why Vick should learn from him.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Here is what Brown said in an interview with Doug Williams of ESPN.com:
""I think what Tebow has done is totally embrace the fact that he's big and strong and he wants to win and if he has to run he's going to run. And when he has to pass, he's going to try to hit a pass. And so he's the epitome of a guy playing football that doesn't fit what people talk about, but he fits winning because he doesn't turn the ball over and he'll use his legs as an offensive weapon.
"Michael Vick in the last few games seemed to be afraid to use his legs because they say he's not a great quarterback because he doesn't stay in the pocket and throw the ball. …
[Tebow's] also a great kid. He has his religious beliefs, he doesn't let anyone influence him, and he's working to be better -- but he's not going to give up his legs (laughs). I think Vick should take note of that and understand how to use his legs and use Tebow as an example."
"
Jim Brown knows a lot more football than I do, but there is a reason that Vick has tried to stay in the pocket more and evolve as a passer: his body is not strong enough to take the hits that come with being a running quarterback.
Plus, if you are unable to throw the ball, the league will eventually catch up with you.
What Tebow is doing now is getting by with a lot of luck. Look at the games he is winning and the final scores in all of them.
The team has scored more than 17 points twice during their current six-game winning streak. Why? Because Tebow has been terrible throwing the ball. He doesn't turn it over, which is good, but his accuracy is terrible.
Tebow's style of football, this run-first mentality, is not conducive to having long-term success in the NFL.
Vick learned that the hard way. Tebow will have to learn that the longer that he plays in the league. Everything is sunshine and rainbows right now because they are winning, but when that stops, so does the praise.
Vick's on-field evolution should be an example for Tebow. Tebow's style of play should not be the standard for Vick.
