Big Disappointment in Big D

Sports Illustrated picked Dallas Cowboys as potential Super Bowl winner at the beginning of the Season.  After receiving one of the biggest spanking of their franchise history from Eagles yesterday,and ending their predictable season, there is only one person is left to blame and his name is Wade Phillips. 

When Randy Moss was traded to the Patriots last year, there was a lot of talk that he would bring down the franchise with is malice.  But when you have a dictator like coach in Belichick you don't have to worry about anything.  Wade Phillips needed to be that kind of a coach and he never had the control of the team.  He needed to discipline his star studded team.  Wade Phillips is soft as Pillsbury dough boy, anybody can poke him and run over him. 

There were always distractions (T.O. and Witten "feud").  Jerry Jones needs to fire Wade Phillips and get somebody like Bill Cowher. In the NFL, the coach needs a total control of the team, Wade totally lacks a leadership skills. Against the Eagles yesterday Cowboys showed no discipline in either phase of the game. Defense looked tired or looked as if they didn't want to play in the Playoffs (Packman's Pass interference). Wade probably is a great defenseve mind coach but you need something more to become successful coach.  

People need to step out of Tony Romo's bandwagon and take a real look at him.  We've seen it for three seasons now that Tony Romo fails to win a game which matters the most. He is a good QB and needs to stay out of Cowboy limelight for a while and needs to go soul searching.  Because you cant have solid first half of the season and can't even have a winning record in December.

All we learn from this Cowboys season is that there is nothing but a big balloon of hype in Dallas and the Eagles just popped it.  Too bad Jerry Jones didn't realize that he needs a new head coach not a billion dollar stadium.  Jerry needs to come to his sense and stop buying rogue players such as Packman Jones, T.O., Tank Johnson and why in the world give up couple of good draft picks for Roy Williams? was he even playing yesterday? 

Just another season went down the gutter, nice job Wade!
