Alabama Football: Seven Things That WON'T Happen in the BCS Game
Larry Burton (Syndicated Writer) Sometimes, it's easier to pick things that won't happen over the things you think will happen.
This is one of those times.
In this article are seven things you can count on that won't happen in the 2012 BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans, Louisiana.
As always, let me know if agree or disagree with the seven things and comment below any other things you can be sure of that won't happen.
Nick Saban Will Not Call for a Field Goal of over 45 Yards
1 of 7Jeremy Shelley can't kick the long ones and Foster can't seem to zero them in either, so look for pooch punts or just going for it in this next game with LSU.
Tyrann Mathieu Won't Attempt Another Cheap Shot
2 of 7Nick Saban has let the officials know that Mathieu's shot on Dre Kirkpatrick should have resulted in an ejection and they know that any other cheap shot from Mathieu could clear the benches in a brawl, so the officials will have him on a tight leash.
Also, Mathieu won't want to raise himself any higher on the hatred scale of the Alabama players because he's fearful they're just waiting on the chance to take him out.
Both Teams Won't Settle for Single Digit Scoring
3 of 7I expect both teams to score a touchdown and both teams to be in double digits this time around.
No more low scoring field goal contests.
You Won't See Nick Saban in a Pink Shirt After This Game.
4 of 7In the last BCS National Championship Game, Saban's Gatorade dunk caused him to have to look for a coat to hide what became a silly looking pink shirt.
They are going to try and avoid that this time around.
So after the Alabama win, don't look for Saban to be scrambling around for another shirt or a jacket. They'll dunk him with water after this one.
You Wont See Trent Richardson Trying to Do It Solo This Time.
5 of 7In the last game, Eddie Lacy was still suffering with turf toe. Now healthy, they'll split more running opportunities.
You Won't See Jarrett Lee Have Significant Playing Time.
6 of 7LSU owes Jarrett Lee a bunch, but they don't feel they owe him enough to give him significant playing time.
You Won't See Alabama Lose
7 of 7You won't see Alabama lose this time around.
