UFC 140 Results: Jon Jones Submits Lyoto Machida in Round 2
In the main event of the evening at UFC 140, the youngest champion in UFC history took to the Octagon to take on the highly dangerous karate artist, Lyoto Machida.
Jon Jones pounced across the Octagon in confidence before action began, as he looked to successfully defend his light heavyweight championship for a second time.
However, it didn't appear as if Jones would do so early, as it was Machida who shocked those in attendance and viewers across the globe.

As the championship bout was under way, both men circled, waiting for the right moment to enter in on one another.
Then, it was Machida who pushed Jones back with his style change and right-left combinations.
It was the first time fans have seen Jones phased early into Round 1 as Machida continued to pressure Jones.
Jones would respond with a knee, but Machida would remain the aggressor.
As Round 1 finished up, Machida was the clear cut winner but would have to keep the tempo heading into the second frame.
Machida did just that, but momentum quickly shifted to "Bones" Jones as he began to use his 10-inch-plus reach advantage.
After a takedown, the bout was stopped due to a cut Machida received from a vicious elbow.
But, action picked back up shortly after, as Jones would have Machida in an unbearable clinch.
Machida was pinned up against the Octagon as Jones would connect on a standing guillotine choke.
Machida refused to tap as his right arm fell to his side before the fight was stopped.
As Jones let go of Machida, he dropped to the ground unconscious.
At 4:26 of Round 2, Jon Jones successfully defended his light heavyweight title and proved to those witnessing that he is, in fact, the best 205-pound fighter in the world.
