Steelers QB Roethlisberger Injured in Game vs Cleveland

NFLGridironGabSenior Analyst IDecember 28, 2008

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was injured during today’s meaningless game vs the Cleveland Browns

The injury took place as the Steelers led 7-0 in the second quarter and were at the Browns 33-yard line.  The injury happened as Browns LB Willie McGinest took down Roethlisberger and his head hit off the turf.  The franchise QB did move his hands and legs, but had to be carted off the field after he was strapped to a stretcher.

At the half the Steelers announced that the injury was a concussion, and that of course he would not be back.  If that is what it is and he’s going to be okay, the QB and the team is a very lucky bunch and they are lucky they have two weeks before they play again.
