The semi-finals are behind us and now it's time to look forward to the finals and what should be a great fight. Again, thanks to everybody for the votes. Here are the results for the semi-finals.

Kenny Florian defeated Frankie Edgar by a 13-2 vote.

Sean Sherk defeated Tyson Griffin by a 10-5 vote.

Since the beginning, the votes have been very clear as one fighter received much more votes than his opponent. The finals are set as Sean Sherk will battle against Kenny Florian...again and something tells me that this time, the votes will be very close.

Lightweight Finals : Kenny Florian vs. Sean Sherk

This should be a very interesting fight considering they have fought in the past at UFC 64 for the vacated UFC lightweight title. Everybody remembers what happened...Florian was able to cut Sherk open with his elbows and it ended up being one hell of a bloodbath. In the end, it didn't make a huge difference because Sean Sherk won a unanimous decision to become the champion.

So many things have happened since that fight and to say that Kenny Florian is a better fighter now would be an understatement. Florian has evolved so much since that fight and has been undefeated since their showdown.

Kenny opened up Sherk in the first fight, no doubt to me he can do it again. Kenny would have a completely different approach to the rematch and would look for openings and be more aggressive. Being a more complete and better fighter, Florian would no doubt have the advantage this time.

Sean Sherk is a machine, everybody knows that. He may have the best cardio in the UFC organization. In the first fight, Sherk was cut open, but he pulled through and won a decision...why couldn't he do it again?

Florian evolved as a fighter and it seems Sherk didn't and stayed at the same exact level. Still, Sean's wrestling skills are still better than "Kenflo" and Sherk is more aggressive. Those two skills brought Sherk the victory the first time and would probably do it again in a rematch.

Hoping the rematch would have more action and more blood, who do you think would win the fight and be declared the lightweight No. 1 contender decided by the fans?

There you have the finals. Check out next week as a new tournament begins in another division.
