Hulk Hogan Sues Ex-Wife over Claims of Abuse and Gay Sex

Linda and Hulk Hogan are in the media yet again after having just reached a divorce settlement which saw Linda get a hefty 70 percent on Hogan's fortune.

Accoring to an article published by the St. Petersburg Times, Hulk is slamming Linda with a lawsuit claiming she is lying about several aspects of the grappler's life.

In Linda's book Wrestling the Hulk: My Life Against the Ropes, she makes numerous allegations of abuse against Hogan.

She claims she never told police about the incidents for fear of how it would affect the family. She also claims that she feared for her life during their heated arguments.

Hogan is firing back now after filing a suit claiming Linda is lying about his pattern of abuse as well as the rumor that he had a homosexual encounter with a fellow wrestler.

The other wrestler mentioned is Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, who is well known as being one of Hogan's closest friends both in and out of the ring.

During a June interview, Linda was asked by the interviewer if she thought the rumors of Hogan and Beefcake hooking up were true. Here is her response:

"

"Wow, let me think about how to answer this so I don't end up getting a lawsuit," she replied, and then continued: "Well, a little bird told me yes." 

"

Hogan's attorney, Wil Florin, had this to say about Linda's statements on Thursday after the suit was filed:

"

Miss Bollea's made enough of these outrageous allegations that it's time they stop, the only realistic way of making them stop is through the court system.

He's being accused of all sorts of vile conduct that he did not commit.

"

With all the drama surrounding Hogan's family life, it comes as no surprise that he and Linda made headlines once again.

The suit, which was filed Thursday, cites page 140 of Linda's book as being the main source of the false allegations of abuse. Here is a section from that page of Linda's book:

tore my shirt, threw lamps, and held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat during arguments. Slamming doors. Pounding walls. I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages.

"

This time, Linda is looking more like the bully in the fight than Hulk is. There was absolutely no reason for her to continue to make these statements after having already published the book and settled their divorce.

This looks like Linda's attempt to stay relevant since her claim to fame of being married to Hogan is no longer her free pass into the celebrity community.

I do not wish to speculate on whether or not any of this is true, what I do hope is that this gets resolved quickly so it does not continue to clog up news feeds and headlines.
