Peyton Manning to the Denver Broncos: What Will Happen to Tim Tebow?
Tim Tebow's days with the Denver Broncos are numbered.
With reports indicating that Peyton Manning will end his search and become John Elway's next quarterback, it is safe to assume that Tebowmania has come to an end in the Mile High City.
Now that we have answered the question of where Manning will be taking his talents and questionable neck, we are left with perhaps a bigger question: Where will Tebow play next season?
Here are five possibilities for where the NFL's most polarizing quarterback will play next season.
Denver Broncos
1 of 5Tim Tebow remaining on the Denver Broncos' roster to back up Peyton Manning is highly unlikely.
Although publicly Tebow will say all the right things, the team doesn't need the additional distraction hanging around, and the asking price in a trade will likely be very negotiable.
Cleveland Browns
2 of 5The Cleveland Browns could use the attention and excitement Tim Tebow would bring them, and Colt McCoy could use a little competition for the quarterback position.
Tebow wouldn't come with a huge trading price, so this may be a feasible option for the Browns.
Jacksonville Jaguars
3 of 5It is no secret that the Jacksonville Jaguars are Tim Tebow's hometown team.
However, with the addition of Chad Henne this offseason, there may not be room on the Jaguars offense as currently constituted.
It is possible that the team may be willing to trade Henne to have Tebow back up Blaine Gabbert and simultaneously bolster ticket sales.
San Francisco 49ers
4 of 5Alex Smith may be leaving the San Francisco 49ers, which would leave an interesting starting job available. After all of the Peyton Manning circus, Smith may not feel wanted by the team that never seemed too committed to him over the course of his career.
If he does leave, there will be a void on a playoff team with a very limited pool of candidates available to be signed at the quarterback position.
This could be where Tim Tebow finds his opportunity.
All of the other quarterbacks available, including Donovan McNabb, Vince Young and Matt Leinart, are either old or have just as many question marks as Tebow does.
Although it may be unlikely, it is possible Tebow could be in a 49ers uniform next season should Smith leave.
Miami Dolphins
5 of 5Let's be honest: The Miami Dolphins have a thing for Tim Tebow.
Last October, the team still searching for the next Dan Marino honored Tebow and his University of Florida Gators teammates at halftime in their game against the Broncos.
With the Dolphins missing out on Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn, perhaps the next place they look is Tebow, where he can battle Matt Moore for the starting job. At least Tebow would help fill some more seats.
