Eagles vs. Dolphins: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More

Alex KayDec 7, 2011

The Miami Dolphins are hosting the Philadelphia Eagles in a relatively meaningless, but still exciting, Week 14 matchup.

Neither team has much of a chance to make the playoffs, but at 4-8, they aren’t trying to tank and get a better draft pick either.

These teams are mediocre at best and will try to perform well over their last few games to build confidence and hope for the 2012 season.

What's At Stake?

There is nothing but pride at stake in this late season matchup between two disappointing teams that have barely any shot of making the playoffs.

Both teams are 4-8 with just four games to play and find themselves three games out of a Wild Card spot.

It would take a miracle for either team to find themselves in postseason play, but they are still holding on hope and looking for a win on Sunday to keep those dreams alive.

Eagles Injury Report

QB Michael Vick (Ribs): Vick is likely to see his first action after missing three games with injured ribs. He’s throwing fine and should be a threat as a runner unless he suffers setbacks in practice this week. According to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Andy Reid said Vick will play unless he experiences a "setback."

Miami Injury Report

No Major Injuries to Report

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit' Em and Sleeper

Start ‘Em: Reggie Bush

Bush has been killing it as of late and won’t slow down versus a weak Eagles run defense.

After a slow start with his new team, Bush has really come on and has totaled up 667 yards and five touchdowns on the ground with another 237 and a score via receptions.

Sit ‘Em: Dan Carpenter

The Dolphins kicker has not been good this season and will be going against the team that gives up the fewest amounts of points per game to place kickers.

Definitely find someone else if he is on your roster for some reason.

Sleeper: DeSean Jackson

Jackson hasn’t been good lately, but the return of Vick could see his production significantly rise.

He’s one of the most skilled wide receivers in the game but his mental lapses lately are hurting him on and off the field.

DeSean needs to string together a few decent games to end the season on a high note.

What They're Saying

Phil Sheridan of the Phildelphia Inquirer is noting that Vick is going to look great upon his return because Vince Young was so awful.

"

“Young played so poorly and with such little conviction in two dreadful losses that he created the illusion Michael Vick is riding to the Eagles' rescue. Really. With eight interceptions and several postgame shrugs, Young was bad enough to make people forget how ineffective Vick was for much of the season.”

"

Manny Navarro with the Miami Herald says Kevin Burnett is a key reason the Dolphins are now winning.

"

“Burnett’s output in terms of tackles, pressures and sacks has been significantly better over the past six weeks—he has recorded 39 solo tackles, nine assisted tackles and 2.5 sacks—compared with the 20 solo tackles, three assisted tackles and no sacks he had over his first six games.”

"

Eagles Player to Watch: Michael Vick

Vick is going to be back in action and it’ll be interesting to see how he looks after the extended time off.

He’s usually one of the most exciting players in the game to watch and unless the rib injury is severely hindering him, it shouldn’t change.

Dolphins Player to Watch: Matt Moore

Moore has been playing some pretty good football lately for a team that has been ripping off win-after-win with him starting at QB.

Will he continue to lead this team to victory and make a case that he should be the No. 1 QB in Miami next season?

On the Hot Seat

Andy Reid and Tony Sparano are both on the hot seat this season for their poor job coaching the team.

Sparano has gotten better though and is probably safe for the season now that he was won four straight.

Reid is likely to be done in Philadelphia very soon because his “Dream Team” has failed miserably.
