Chiefs vs. Jets: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More
Although the Kansas City Chiefs' playoff hopes are still on life support after the Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears last week to improve to 5-7, it will be the 7-5 New York Jets looking to make a push toward the postseason when they host the Chiefs on Sunday.
Kansas City began the season with three consecutive losses, as key players like running back Jamaal Charles and safety Eric Berry were lost for the season. They bounced back with four consecutive wins, but have since hit the skids once again, due in part to a season-ending injury to quarterback Matt Cassel.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Jets have been a very up-and-down team this season in their own right. New York has had numerous hot and cold streaks, but currently seem to be on track, as they have won two straight games and are now tied with the Cincinnati Bengals and a couple other teams for the final playoff spot in the AFC.
As the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bears have learned over the past two weeks, the Chiefs aren't a team to be taken lightly. Also, since the Jets have no room for error, they certainly can't afford to look past any opponent. This game will have a lot to do with whether the Jets qualify for the postseason or not.

What's at Stake?
This particular game is all about playoff implications. New York is very clearly in the playoff picture, but even the Chiefs have a pulse. Kansas City currently trails the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders by two games in the AFC West. Even though it seems highly unlikely at this point, the Chiefs certainly have a chance to win back-to-back AFC West crowns if they win out and get some help.
The playoff scenario is much simpler for New York. If the postseason started today, the Jets would lose out on the final playoff spot due to a tiebreaker with Cincinnati, but if the Jets continue to win, then they will make the playoffs in all likelihood, making this game exceedingly important.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Sleeper
Start: RB Shonn Greene (NYJ) - Although he hasn't exactly lived up to expectations this season as the Jets' feature back, Shonn Greene has played much better as of late. Greene has gone for under 74 yards rushing just once during his past seven full contests. When you add in the fact that he received 22 carries last week and is facing Kansas City's 25th-ranked run defense this week, he should have a big game on Sunday.
Sit: WR Dwayne Bowe (KC) - Dwayne Bowe is unquestionably one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL, but there are several factors that make him a poor fantasy play this week. For one, he has a very shaky quarterback situation with the weak-armed Tyler Palko throwing to him. Perhaps more importantly, though, Bowe will be blanketed by the best cover corner in football in Darrelle Revis, so his ceiling is quite low.
Sleeper: RB Dexter McCluster (KC) - Perhaps no running back situation in the NFL is more muddled than that of the Chiefs. Because of that, it is difficult to recommend starting a Kansas City back in fantasy, but because of Deter McCluster's pass-catching ability and explosiveness, he is a good sneaky flex play in PPR leagues, especially against a Jets defense that has struggled against the run this year.
What They're Saying
The 2011 season has been an inconsistent one for the New York Jets, but thanks to boisterous head coach Rex Ryan, the Jets are still a very confident team. Things looked bleak after a couple consecutive losses, but the Jets have bounced back with wins over the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins, and are now firmly in the playoff picture.
As has always been the case, Ryan still believes that his team can compete with anyone, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.
"The fact is you’ve lost two games in a row and you just got beat by a team that you really were playing well against the whole game...And the way we got beat, obviously, [it was] like, ‘Oh, great.’ But, again, this team has plenty of confidence. We don’t lack for confidence. Not one bit. We think we can beat any team in this league. Obviously, we’ve lost five games this year, so that’s not always a fact, but we believe, going into every single game, that we’re going to win.
"
Chiefs Player to Watch: RB Dexter McCluster
On a team lacking offensive explosion, Dexter McCluster is a secret weapon. After his solid performance against the Bears last week, though, the secret is out. The Chiefs have a ton of running backs that they like to utilize, but McCluster has slowly begun to separate himself from the field.
McCluster is a true playmaker who can make things happen both as a runner and a pass receiver. The Chiefs don't have much of a passing attack with Tyler Palko at the controls, so screens and swing passes are certainly important in Kansas City's arsenal. The Jets have had some issues when it comes to stopping the run this season, so it wouldn't be surprising to see McCluster rack up some yardage.
Jets Player to Watch: WR Plaxico Burress
Perhaps wide receiver Plaxico Burress hasn't been the big-play threat they envisioned when they signed him straight out of prison, but there is no question that he has had a positive effect on New York's offense. A legitimate red-zone target, Burress has reeled in seven touchdowns this season, almost all of which have been from in close.
Burress generally isn't heavily targeted by quarterback Mark Sanchez, but he makes the most of his chances. Excellent cornerback Brandon Flowers will likely be covering Santonio Holmes this week, so Burress may be a bit more involved. For the Jets, getting touchdowns instead of field goals in the red zone is the key to winning, and Burress is a big part of that.
Key Matchup: WR Dwayne Bowe vs. CB Darrelle Revis
In a game made of up of several one-on-one matchups, there is perhaps no more compelling one than when an elite wide receiver goes up against an elite cornerback. That figures to be the case on Sunday, as Kansas City receiver Dwayne Bowe will operate against a player that most consider to be the best cornerback in football, New York's Darrelle Revis.
Kansas City's uncertainty at quarterback is already bad enough, but having its top receiver in a battle with Revis will only make matters worse. Revis isn't completely unbeatable, as the Buffalo Bills' Stevie Johnson proved a couple weeks ago, but he's darn close. If Bowe can get the better of him, though, it will really help the Chiefs' case.
On the Hot Seat: QB Tyler Palko
In three starts since starting quarterback Matt Cassel went down with an injury, Tyler Palko has a touchdowns-to-interceptions ratio of just 1:6. He was even pulled last week against the Bears, but backup Kyle Orton injured his finger on his first play, pressing Palko back into action.
It is very clear that head coach Todd Haley isn't exactly sold on Palko, so even the slightest misstep could result in him heading back to the bench. The Chiefs don't really have another option if Orton can't suit up, but I would guess that Haley would turn to rookie Ricky Stanzi before allowing Palko to have another three-interception effort.
