NFL Power Rankings: Teams That Dropped Most After Week 13 Losses
Just when I thought I had a firm grasp on what kind of team the Oakland Raiders were, they go down to Miami and get spanked by the Dolphins 34-14.
They weren't the only team that warranted a drop in the NFL power rankings this week.
There were some disappointing efforts from a few clubs vying for one of the final postseason spots in their respective conferences in Week 13.
Oakland Raiders
1 of 4What the heck happened to Oakland in South Beach?
Michael Bush finished the game with 18 yards on the ground. Really?
The Dolphins had 209 rushing yards. Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?
With the Broncos surging, this is the worst time for the formerly hot Raiders to take a step backward. They deserve a drop in this week's power rankings, but with Darren McFadden likely returning soon, I haven't lost all hope.
Chicago Bears
2 of 4Uh-oh. Things aren't looking good in Chicago.
And to think two weeks ago, they were labeled as the NFC's dark horse to make the Super Bowl.
How quickly things can change in the NFL.
Is there anything more embarrassing than a 10-3 loss at home to the Kansas City Chiefs?
Not really.
The defense, as usual, did its part, but Caleb Hanie threw three more interceptions and Matt Forte sprained his MCL.
A total nightmare.
Why are they so against signing a veteran quarterback?
Detroit Lions
3 of 4Hey, I never said it was easy winning against the Saints, in New Orleans, in prime time. However, it was how the Lions lost that was the most concerning.
They were flagged 11 times against the Packers on Thanksgiving and were called for 11 more penalties against the Saints on Sunday night.
Where's the discipline?
How about the explosive offense?
After starting 5-0, the Lions are fighting for their playoff lives and they lose the tiebreaker to both the Bears and Falcons right now.
Not a good situation.
The injury to Kevin Smith is huge.
