One-Armed MMA Fighter Remains Undefeated with Heel Hook Submission at XFC 15

Inevitably, even some of the most hardcore MMA fans missed Xtreme Fighting Championships 15 on Friday.  The southeast-based promotion featured a main event with a one-armed fighter that came in with an undefeated record of 5-0.

"Notorious" Nick Newell, a lightweight fighter who boasts over 300 wrestling wins between high school and college, made it look easy against a 3-3 Dennis Hernandez—despite the fact that Newell is missing his left arm from his forearm on.

Newell shows great wrestling and ground-and-pound before locking up a picture-perfect heel hook to finish the fight in just 71 seconds.  

This video is certainly worth a watch for not just fight fans, but all sports fans that can appreciate the triumph of the human spirit.
