Big Ten Weakness Truth or Fiction?

Big Ten weakness truth or fiction?

Is the Big 10 as bad as I keep reading and hearing?   I decided to find out for myself so here are the numbers 1995 to present. My father is fond of saying “numbers don’t lie but liars figure.   Big Ten 47 wins, 54 losses, winning only 46 ½ % of their bowl games.   Only three teams have winning records in bowls since 1995 (Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa).  The real shock (to me) is that Ohio State and Michigan are below .500

Two teams: Penn State and Wisconsin account for 36% of Big Ten’s bowl wins. With these numbers how can anyone defend the Big 10 as a group, it is clear the Big 10 does not win bowl games.  With this said the PAC 10 is not a whole lot better winning 48 ½ % of their games.  The Pac 10 has five teams at .500 or better representing 58.8% of all wins.
