Chicago Bears: Should They Target Donovan McNabb, Brett Favre or Go with Caleb?
Just when you thought Brett Favre was done for good, the old gunslinger himself is back in the news.
ESPN's Adam Schefter sent the following tweet in regards to Favre possibly joining the struggling and injury-plagued Chicago Bears:
"A source familiar with a certain QB in Mississippi told ESPNChicago.com that that QB would listen if the Bears made a pitch.

Almost eerie, isn't it?
And you thought Tebow-mania was out of control.
We seem to be far away from an official workout, much less a signing, with no response from the Bears front office yet, but this all begs the question: Should the Bears sign Brett Favre?
Remember, there's the possibility of Donovan McNabb, too.
In fact, last week, I argued the reasons why Chicago should bring in No. 5 after he was released by the Vikings.
I still believe McNabb in a Bears uniform could work, but now that I've had about an hour to think about Favre with an orange "C" on his helmet, I realize it's really the only move the Bears can make.
As much as I defended McNabb, there's no question that Favre is the more capable quarterback at this point, is there?
If the coaching staff, general managers and others within the Bears organization continue to say they're "fine" with their current quarterback situation, they're crazy.
Caleb Hanie has two touchdown passes and six interceptions in two weeks.
No way Jay Cutler or, in this case, Brett Favre loses either of those games.
Yes, if Favre's brought in, a media firestorm will ensue and we're already starting to get "FavreCenter" on ESPN.
In the end, should Chicago care about increased media attention?
No.
Their immediate goal is to get to the postseason, and no one available gives them a better shot to reach that goal than the polarizing Favre.
As much as I've despised him in the last few years, mainly because of his arrogance and need to be in the spotlight, at this juncture, I'd welcome the hype that'd surround Mr. Favre for the season's final month.
The only issue Chicago could ultimately run into is Favre's diva mentality.
What happens if he leads the Bears to the postseason and Jay Cutler is ready to return?
Wow, I'm getting way ahead of myself.
Or am I?
