WWE's Ultimate Christmas Present: Christian Cage Return!
Sure we all know the WWE has a lot to be thankful for, but that is the wrong holiday. What can you give a company who has everything? How about one of their competitions best?
See I read a few website's articles that said Christian Cage's TNA contract had ended and that he had not picked whether he would go to the WWE or stay in TNA. But I was mistaken in reading that.
According to B/R's own Ron Johnson, a source in TNA that told him Cage's TNA contract expires this week. Now that should be in a few days, which means he could sign with either company within a week if he wanted.
And since the WWE looks to be the place paying the most and Vince McMahon wants him as well as head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes, he looks as if he is considering the return to the WWE seriously.
And who could blame him? He's make more money and since SmackDown looks to be giving young talent a chance he might get in the World title picture soon too. I remember Chris Jericho returned and got a World title match pretty much right away.
He didn't win against Randy Orton, but as you saw he did win the World Title a few times this year alone, and became Superstar of the Year too. I think Cage could be up there too.
Especially since they are most likely going to pair him with Edge, who is doing quite well if you have not noticed. He returned himself at Survivor Series to win the WWE Championship.
Cage was a mid-card at best in the WWE, but went to TNA and became a two-time World Champion. He held the Title well, and was one of the better TNA Champions I have seen them have.
He was getting a push by the WWE before he left, but he saw his prospects looked better in TNA and left. I am sure he'd go right back into that push on SmackDown this time.
He has a lot to think about. but the WWE wants him, and has offered him a great contract. I am hearing it is about 3 times as much as TNA's. Even TNA doesn't expect him back.
They already wrote him out of all storyline ideas. Some of B/R's best see TNA tanking right now, and Cage came out and said the one thing he doesn't like is TNA's storyline ideas, especially for him.
TNA's newest storyline is doing well for some, but many hate it. Cage looked to have a big part in it. But of course he was written out and now looks to be out of TNA all together.
The WWE want him and they look like they are going to get him. They will get their ultimate Christmas present. Unless they are Jewish, then well its over for them and they will have a great new year.
But the day is almost over for Christmas anyway. And I'm sure Cage will enjoy his offer and discuss it over family dinner. And they will tell him go to the WWE, and he will do it.
But what do you think?
