Center

David Krejci, Boston

Krejci has 12 points (four goals, eight assists) in his last five games (2.4 points per game), including a hat trick and a pair of three-assist games. He has at least a point in 14 of his last 15 games, and a plus-15 rating during that stretch.

He’s probably not available in many active Yahoo! leagues (owned in 68 percent of leagues), but if you’re playing the Sporting News salary cap game, he’s an unbelievable bargain at $1.28 million.

Winger

Alexei Ponikarovsky, Toronto

Ponikarovsky has a lot of letters in his last name. Wait, that’s not why you should be interested in him. He seven points (three goals, four assists) and a plus-5 rating over his last three games (2.3).

He had 19 points (8 goals, 11 assists) and a plus-3 rating in his first 30 games (0.63). He’s available (owned in just 18 percent of Yahoo! leagues) and affordable ($1.89 million in SN’s salary cap game).

Defenseman

Alex Goligoski, Pittsburgh

Goligoski has seven points (two goals, five assists) and a plus-5 rating over his past five games (1.4) for the Penguins. He scored at least a point in four of those five games.

He had 11 points (four goals, seven assists) and a plus-6 rating in his first 27 games (0.41). He’s owned in 53 percent for Yahoo leagues and has a $1.32 million SN salary cap number.

Goalie

Scott Clemmensen, New Jersey

Clemmensen went 3-0-1 in his last four games with a 1.93 GAA and a .925 save percentage. In his first 12 games, he was 8-3-0 and a .920 save percentage.

His hot streak has helped lower his season GAA to 2.31. Clemmensen is 7-0-1 in December. He’s owned in 55 percent of Yahoo! leagues and has a $2.92 million SN salary cap number.
