Eagles vs. Seahawks: Lowly Seahawks Will Prove Eagles Took Things for Granted
You got the feeling that if the Philadelphia Eagles worked hard this season their early season woes would dissolve and they'd start playing like the team they were meant to be: a dream team.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, they took things for granted the moment they were assembled in the offseason.
You look at the Eagles' talent they acquired this offseason and it's off the charts: defensive linemen Cullen Jenkins and Jason Babin, cornerbacks Nnamdi Asomugha and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, quarterback Vince Young, receiver Steve Smith, etc., etc.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When the Eagles got off to a rough start, I figured they just needed time to gel. The reality is, they never took the time to gel; they figured everything would just come together magically.
The play of Asomugha has been particularly startling, considering most people ranked him as the No. 2 cornerback in the league before this season, right behind New York Jets shutdown corner Darrelle Revis. Asomugha was the last player I figured would let the Eagles down, and he's actually become part of the problem.
In Week 13, the Eagles face the lowly Seattle Seahawks of the NFC West. To give you an idea of how much a disaster the Eagles' season has been, they have the same record as the Seahawks, and the Seahawks have a 4-7 record.
Based on talent alone, the Eagles should blow the Seahawks out of the water on Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
But the Eagles are actually in danger of losing to the Seahawks, and I never thought I'd say that this season.
For one, we all know about the Seahawks' "12th man," a crowd that caused New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees fits last season in the playoffs.
Also, that win against the Saints, combined with wins against the New York Giants and Baltimore Ravens this season, shows that the Seahawks have the unique ability of beating top teams even when they lose to bad ones.
The Seahawks lost to the Washington Redskins in Week 12, 23-17, but that doesn't mean anything when you're the Seahawks.
The Eagles are also coming off a 38-20 defeat to the New England Patriots. In Week 10, they lost to the Arizona Cardinals.
The Eagles are just bad enough and the Seahawks are just unpredictable enough to have the Seahawks emerge out of Week 13 with a better record than the Eagles.
That's not a "dream" for the Eagles.
That's a nightmare.
