Week 13 Fantasy Rankings: Why Eli Manning Will Be Fantasy Elite Against Packers

You just have to love fantasy football. While the New York Giants are in the midst of another epic meltdown, fantasy owners are celebrating one great season by Eli Manning. Week 13 will have Peyton's little brother touch the elite level against the best team around. 

Let's first establish our small group of truly elite fantasy quarterbacks. They are comprised of QBs that mandate you start them each and every week. Even if there was breaking news that one of them had a hang nail, you still start them. 

Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees throw up consistently solid fantasy numbers every week. What's more, every other week you can bank on them really giving you a gem of a day. 

That kind of otherworldly production is what we are looking at for Eli Manning in Week 13. Sure the Giants are possibly done for the season. And the Packers will no doubt be gunning for them. 

But there are a couple things to consider when placing Eli Manning firmly in your starting lineup. 

Heat

Eli Manning is coming off a superb fantasy game against the Saints. He would have had an even more marvelous showing had his receivers got some of the open passes he threw them. 

Manning will build on that momentum going into Sunday's game. He looks poised and collected in the pocket. He is one Giants player you don't have to worry about. 

Packers

Green Bay is a near-perfect squad that should win this game. However, they still have a plethora of issues on defense. This will be a shootout that Aaron Rodgers will win, but Manning will still reap plenty of benefit from. 

Need

The Giants can ill afford another loss. Look for them to get creative to make sure they are in prime position to steal one from Green Bay. The offense will be clicking in a must-win scenario.
