Week 13 Fantasy Football Projections: Cam Newton and Stars Who Will Struggle
This is the last week before the fantasy playoffs kick off, and that means it’s time to figure out who you should start and who you should sit.
Big names like Cam Newton and Percy Harvin may be a solid start on every other night of the week, but they will fail this week.
If you don’t want to miss the playoffs altogether, it’s time to sit these star players and take the risk on players with a higher upside.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Cam Newton
While Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers shot out of the starting gates, they have come to earth over the last few weeks. Newton is still putting up solid fantasy days, but not like it was before.
This week will be another down week for the Panthers star against the tough defense of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It seems to have taken certain teams longer to find their stride, but Tampa Bay looks like they’re ready to play football again.
The only way Cam Newton puts up big numbers on Sunday will be if he runs the football, but the stout Bucs run D won’t let him get too much on the ground.
Percy Harvin
The Minnesota Vikings have been terrible this season, but one of the bright spots has been the emergence of Harvin with rookie Christian Ponder under center.
Ponder will now face a Denver Broncos defense that is playing on fire. That is bad news for the rookie quarterback and anyone he has to throw towards.
Harvin will be the primary focus of the Broncos’ secondary, so don’t expect very much out of the versatile receiver.
Vernon Davis
The St. Louis Rams defense was trounced last week and will look to rebound against a very mediocre San Francisco 49ers offense.
With Vernon Davis viewed as the team’s top threat, the Rams will be sending plenty of coverage his way, both limiting his targets and quarterback Alex Smith’s effectiveness.
The whole team will be stifled offensively on Sunday. I don’t expect Davis to get more than four catches for 35 yards and no touchdowns.
