NFL Week 13 Picks: Predicting Road Teams with the Best Shots at Victory

Chris TrapassoNov 30, 2011

Picking up a road win at this stage in the season is huge, especially for teams making that late playoff push.

Which clubs have the best chance at winning one away from home this weekend?

Atlanta Falcons at Houston Texans

The Falcons won't have an easy time facing the league's top-ranked defense, but because they're so balanced offensively, Atlanta should be able to move the football with some efficiency.

Andre Johnson is healthy, and they have the third-best rushing attack in football with Arian Foster and Ben Tate.

However, Atlanta allowed 64 and 41 rushing yards in their last two games, respectively.

They'll force T.J. Yates to beat them by loading the box the majority of the time Houston has the ball.

With Michael Turner, Matt Ryan and all of his playmakers, the Falcons have a great opportunity to win this inter-conference matchup.

Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns

The Browns have a surprisingly stout secondary for a team that's 4-7. They've only surrendered only three passing scores since Week 5, and Andy Dalton is the only quarterback to throw for over 215 yards in that time frame.

Don't expect much from Joe Flacco.

The Browns won't have any easy go at this game offensively, either.

Nothing against Colt McCoy, but his Browns club is only averaging 15 points per game this season.

In a low-scoring affair, the Ravens have enough offensive talent to win this AFC North matchup.

Dallas Cowboys at Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals rushed for nearly 270 yards last week against the Rams, but they're up against one of the better defenses this week.

Even at home, I don't have much faith in John Skelton facing Rob Ryan's confusing defensive alignment.

Tony Romo gets Miles Austin back, and now he has three legitimate threats on the outside along with DeMarco Murray running the football.

The Cardinals allow more than 265 passing yards per game.

I expect Dallas to put up more than 30 points in this one en route to victory.
