NBA Free Agents: Denver Nuggets and Teams That Will Be Active in Free Agency
The Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets are facing a possibility of almost 75 percent turnover from their roster in 2010-2011. They have only seven players under contract and some of them could be included in a trade(s), as the Nuggets may have holes to fill.
If they lose Nene and Arron Afflalo, the Nuggets will have to choose between Timofey Mozgov, Chris Andersen and Kosta Koufos as starters in the middle. At the shooting guard, there would only be Danilo Gallinari, that says that the Nuggets should be signing at least one big man and two guard/forwards during the free agent signing period.
New Jersey Nets
The New Jersey Nets have only eight players locked in. That isn't necessarily a bad thing for them, as they should be willing to throw a complete rebuilding plan at Deron Williams to entice him to stay.
Brook Lopez may or may not be a part of the Brooklyn movement, but either way the Nets should be active in attempts to fill out their roster.
New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets may as well change their name if Chris Paul leaves or is traded. With only five players including Paul signed, fans won't recognize them when the season starts.
David West is likely to leave via free agency and Marco Bellineli is a restricted free agent. The movement of Paul—especially if it happens before the season starts—will ignite a complete retooling of the team.
Hornets fans should prepare for a season without Paul, as it seems almost certain they will lose their star soon.
