BCS Bowl Projections 2012: Teams We Don't Want to Watch in Any Bowl Game

Donald WoodNov 29, 2011

It’s already time for bowl season, college football fans, but as always, there are a few issues with the BCS Bowls for 2012.

The way the BCS computers have it rigged set up, we are bound to have several major bowls that are absolute snore fests.

The following is a list of boring teams that will end up ruining bowl season for die-hard college football fans.

Virginia Tech—The Virginia Tech Hokies are one of the better teams in the nation, but watching them play football can be tough at times.

While LSU has a terrible offense and a fantastic defense that is fun to watch, Virginia Tech is just good enough on offense to score enough to win, and just good enough on defense to keep teams from scoring many points.

The Hokies' way of playing is effective, but there is nothing exciting about the way they play the game. Whatever bowl they are selected for will be at least twice as boring as before.

Oregon—The Oregon Ducks have the most dangerous run game in all of college football, but they are bound to face a tough SEC defense. That’s how things work out.

With the BCS computers selecting the way things are arranged, the Ducks will face off with a potent run-stopping defense, and will end up locked into a 16-10 game that puts fans to sleep.

If the BCS had a playoff system, like everyone wants, we could see the best teams facing off, instead of two teams not built to play against each other.

Oklahoma—The Oklahoma Sooners came into this season with high hopes, but a drop from No. 1 in the standings without a loss was a telling event.

The Sooners have a very strong offense, but their lack of a defense leaves them susceptible to blowouts. With the wrong matchup, Oklahoma could be looking at an embarrassing loss.

All it takes is one SEC defense to shut down the Sooners and Oklahoma’s weak defense will fold like a chair.
