Urban Meyer Video: Watch Meyer Introduced as Head Coach of Ohio State

The moment that you have been waiting for took place on Monday afternoon. Urban Meyer was officially announced as the head coach of thee Ohio State University. And you can watch the momentous occasion as it happened. 

From Gene Smith's somber tone to open the press conference to Meyer openly gushing about Braxton Miller, the announcement was definitely memorable. 

Meyer of course touched upon running a clean program. He told the many reporters in attendance, "Our objective is simple—it's to make the state of Ohio proud." Pride is a hot commodity at OSU since the days of Jim Tressel were wiped away by scandal. 

The job at Ohio State, mixed with the fact that he is feeling healthier than ever, made this a no-brainer decision.

If not for the coaching position at Ohio State, I would not have coached this year. A year ago in my mind I was convinced I was done coaching. I've been checked out and I'm ready to go.

Ohio State just received the one thing they needed to get past the awful scandals that plagued them the past couple of years, and that is a helping hand from Urban Meyer. 

This is a case of both the school and the man needing one another. Meyer gets to coach the storied program he always wanted to helm, and Ohio State gets a great deal of honor back.
