Sidney Rice Injury: Updates on Seahawks WR's Week 13 Status & Fantasy Value
It was during the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Washington Redskins that Seattle Seahawks wide receiver sustained what is believed to be his second concussion of the season.
With the NFL’s policies on head injuries, there is almost no doubt that he will have trouble starting this week or playing at all if he really does have another concussion.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Danny O'Neil of The Seattle Times is reporting that Rice is all but officially ruled out right now.
If you have Rice on your fantasy team, hit the waivers tonight and put a claim in for a new receiver to replace him.
Remember that the Seahawks play Thursday so you need to bench Rice sooner than later as well.
Fantasy Impact
While Sidney Rice was a nice start in most leagues, there have to be better options on your bench. If there isn’t, not only should you pay more attention to the articles written on Bleacher Report, but you should hit the waiver wire for a guy like Jason Avant from the Eagles.
Who's the Backup?
While the depth chart will most likely read Mike Williams as the No. 1 wide receiver now, the only person that will be getting serious looks will be Golden Tate. Look for the speedy receiver to play the role of a poor man’s Wes Welker for Seattle.
Devastation Scale (6 out of 10)
With No. 2 receiver Mike Williams pretty much giving up on the season and mediocre ball-slinger Tarvaris Jackson still under center, the Seahawks are in complete meltdown mode. While this isn’t a good ending, the team wasn’t expected to do much this season anyway.
What They're Saying
Seahawks wide receiver Mike Williams told the Seattle Times about his inability to step up in Rice’s absence:
"I kind of landed on my shoulder, but I wasn't playing good anyway. So I don't think it matters if I'm healthy or not. The whole year has kind of been not what I've been accustomed to and not what I envisioned for myself from the beginning. I've just got to kind of get out of this rut and try to get my rhythm back. Today there were some plays and opportunities for me to have a big day, and it just didn't work out.
