Lawrence Taylor: Hall of Famer in the News for Wrong Reasons Again with Lawsuit

The life of Lawrence Taylor has been one bad story after another since retiring from the New York Giants and being inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1999.

Now he’s being sued by Christina Fierro, an 18-year-old that claims Taylor raped her in 2010 when she was only 16. Here is the NY Post with details on the charge:

"The scathing suit accuses Taylor—who earlier this year pleaded guilty in a related criminal case -- of ignoring the bruises on the face of then-16-year-old Cristina Fierro, who arrived at his room in a Suffern, NY, motel after being beaten by a pimp to force her to visit the legendary linebacker.

Taylor then "attempted to engage in various sexual acts with Ms. Fierro, including forcing himself onto Ms. Fierro without a condom" during the May 6, 2010 incident."

Taylor looked to be in the clear after being convicted of patronizing a prostitute and one count of sexual misconduct earlier in 2011. He was sentenced to six years’ probation and had to register as a sex offender.

Now, almost a year later a lawsuit is filed? This screams exploitation and you really have to wonder about her intentions considering she has signed on celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred to defend her. Check out the statements Allred is already throwing out there:

With the high-profiled lawyer involved, this isn’t going to end well for L.T. His three drug possession arrests aren’t going to help his case at all. Fierro is looking to cash in on the fame of Taylor and will end up getting what she wants. Meanwhile Taylor’s name is back in the 24/7 media cycle for all the wrong reasons.

It’s a dark day for L.T and the entire Giants organization….again.
