Jerome Simpson Video: Watch Bengals' Star Epic Flop Against Cleveland Browns

And the award for Best Actor in the NFL goes to, drum-roll please, Jerome Simpson

Let's all take a moment to congratulate the Cincinnati Bengals' wide receiver for this momentous achievement.

Now that that's out of the way, it's time to ridicule Simpson for his epic flop. The other football is known for taking dives, but Simpson had to bring shame upon the NFL by dropping to the ground after a Cleveland Browns player barely touched him.

The referees called the penalty, so give him credit for getting away with it, but it doesn't change the fact that he looked stupid in the process. There were off-setting penalties, so thankfully the Browns weren't too screwed by this. After all, Cleveland's sports always take hard hits, that would be the last thing they need to witness.

Most flops in football games aren't quite as extreme as Simpson's. It's a tough angle, but if you look closely enough you can see his legs kick back when falling down. That made me laugh hysterically because his flop went from bad to perhaps the worst of all-time with that move.

This move happened in the second quarter, and Simpson finished the game with only two catches for 15 yards. Coincidence? I think not.

A week ago, Simpson stepped up in the absence of A.J. Green and recorded eight catches for 152 yards. Green was healthy enough to play on Sunday, which limited Simpson, but still, his display of acting just before halftime had to be one of the reasons his production decreased.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall int he Bengals locker room during halftime to hear all the jokes they were cracking on Simpson.

Enjoy your award Jerome, you certainly deserved it.
