The NFL Playoff Outcome No One Is Expecting

Here it goes. There are still some important games left, but I believe the playoffs will ultimately turn out as follows:

NFC Seedings

1. New York Giants (13-3): This one is obvious because they've already clinched the number one seed.

2. Atlanta Falcons (11-5): The Falcons win out against St. Louis and the New Orleans Saints overtake the Carolina Panthers to play spoiler.

3. Minnesota Vikings (10-6): The Bears fail to take the division and leave it to the Vikings.

4. Arizona Cardinals (8-8): The reeling Cards.

5. Carolina Panthers (11-5)

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (10-6): The Bucs make it.

AFC Seedings

1. Tennessee Titans (14-2)

2. Pittsburgh Steelers (12-4)

3. Miami Dolphins (11-5)

4. Denver Broncos (9-7)

5. Indianapolis Colts (11-5)

6. Baltimore Ravens (11-5)

NFC Outcomes

First matchup would be the Vikings and the Bucs. I think the Vikes will win this one and advance. Second matchup the Cards versus the Panthers. The Cards have no chance of taking out the Panthers.

So that leaves two Week 16 rematches between Vikes and the Falcons and the Panthers and the Giants. I think the Panthers will overcome the Giants and go to the NFC Championship to face the Falcons who take down the Vikings for the second time.

The two NFC South leaders come down to a final showdown, they split their matchups this season but ultimately the last season duds bring it down and the rookie coach/Quarterback combo make it to the Super Bowl.

AFC Outcomes

The first game will be a game of true smash-mouth football between the Dolphins and the Ravens. The No. 1 ranked defense will take it in the end and the Ravens will advance. The disappointing Broncos will bring back the momentum they had the beginning of the season and take the Colts down in an overtime thriller. Titans versus the Ravens.

The Titans will make their only true misstep this season and go down to the tough defense of the Ravens. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos. The Broncos' momentum continues and they pull out a sickening win in Pittsburgh.

The AFC Championship comes down to the Broncos and Ravens. The improbable momentum continues and the Broncos win out against the Ravens.

Super Bowl

It comes down to a 1999 Super Bowl rematch. The lack of Run D at Denver catches up with them and Michael Turner pulls out the game of his career, lifting the Falcons to one of the most ridiculous turnarounds a team has made in the history of the National Football League turning them into a true contender for the first time in years.
