Fantasy Football Rankings: Lance Moore and More Week 12 Primetime Game Sleepers

Tim DanielsNov 27, 2011

With the fantasy football playoffs right around the corner, owners have to make a lot of tough decisions that could make or break their season. That often includes researching last-minute pickups to fill a void left by an untimely injury.

Here are three sleepers from Week 12's primetime games that could save your week.

RB: Jackie Battle—Kansas City Chiefs

Battle didn't receive as many touches with Tyler Palko at quarterback as he should have. The Chiefs fell behind the New England Patriots and were forced to become a pass-happy offense. Kansas City should make sure that isn't the case on Sunday night.

Due to the ineffectiveness of Dexter McCluster and Thomas Jones, Battle should continue to see the lion's share of the touches. The Steelers are surprisingly average against opposing fantasy running backs this season, so Battle could surprise.

Week 12 projection: eight fantasy points

WR: Lance Moore—New Orleans Saints

Drew Brees likes to share the wealth, which can make owning a New Orleans wide receiver a frustrating proposition. However, Moore has a caught touchdown in two of the last three games and seems close to overtaking Robert Meachem as the team's No. 3 target.

That's more important than it may sound against a depleted Giants defense, which was picked apart by Vince Young last week. If Riley Cooper can produce 13 points vs. the G-Men, Moore should have no problem approaching a similar total.

Week 12 projection: 12 fantasy points

TE: Heath Miller—Pittsburgh Steelers

Miller might not be the most exciting option at tight end, but he's scored at least seven points in four of six games. That's solid production at a weak fantasy position, and he continues to be one of Big Ben's favorite red zone targets.

Kansas City ranks near the bottom of the league against tight ends, including a monster performance from Rob Gronkowski in Week 11. Miller isn't going to dominate on that same level, but he should score well enough that he doesn't destroy a team's week.

Week 12 projection: 10 fantasy points
