Chad Ochocinco: Why Mad Chad Should Embrace Basketball Wives Spinoff Show

Kyle VassaloNov 27, 2011

Evelyn Lozada has been offered a spinoff show of "Basketball Wives" that would feature the time leading up to her and Chad Ochocinco's wedding, according to TMZ.

While many will argue that Ocho needs to stay as far away from reality television as possible, pretending to be someone he is not hasn't boded well for him.

Joining the Patriots would mean he would have to tone down the Tweeting, reality shows, celebrations and flamboyance, as none of those traits and actions embody what it means to be a Patriot.

He's got 11 catches on the entire season and to make matters worse, he's sustained a hamstring injury.

Ochocinco may be on the Patriots, but trying to change who he is has completely thrown him off his game.

Doing shameless reality shows, soaking up the spotlight and being an entertainer is what Ochocinco is all about.

He loves to interact with the public and routinely uses social media to give back to the community. He's hilarious, giving, and one of the most transparent athletes in the world.

It's those qualities that make him who he is and hiding all of it away isn't doing him any favors on the football field.

People want to talk Xs and Os to explain why he's been off his game, but his struggles don't stem from anything that can be learned in the film room or in practice.

He undoubtedly wants to win a ring, but it's time for the old Chad to come back. A cheesy and shameless reality show about his life is the perfect jumping off point to get Estaban back into his groove.
