Baltimore Ravens Ruin Dallas Cowboys' Texas Stadium Finale in 33-24 Win

Just when Dallas seemed to get things going offensively in the fourth quarter, they gave up two big runs for touchdowns and lose to the Ravens at home, 33-24.

If you looked at the first half statistics, you would have been shocked at how ineffective both offenses were with only three field goals and a touchdown between them for a 9-7 halftime score.

Baltimore seemed to want it more in the second half, jumping out to a 16-7 lead after a Derrick Mason touchdown reception set-up by a fake field goal try. Then, Dallas still couldn’t get anything going and got down 19-7 before Romo started clicking with his receivers, first hitting Terrell Owens for a seven yard touchdown and then Jason Witten for a score, but every time they got a score, so did the Ravens.

One of the Ravens’ scoring drives could have been prevented if Ken Hamlin could have held onto a McClain fumble, but he lost it and Derrick Mason recovered to continue the Ravens’ drive. Oh, I should also mention the fact it was he who also missed the tackle on both long touchdown runs by the Ravens late in the game, the first by Willis McGahee for 77-yards and then the 83-yarder by McClain to really ice the game.

This team doesn’t deserve to go to the playoffs and probably won’t make it anyway. Now they are behind four other NFC teams in the wild card race, one of which is the Philadelphia Eagles who they face next Sunday in Philly. I won’t be available to watch or write about that game, but let me say right now for the record, they’ll probably lose it also.
