Miami Heat Rumors: Wilson Chandler and Other Players Who Could Save the Heat
The Miami Heat are the darlings of the NBA. Anything they touch instantly turns to gold.
While they can sell out any arena in the NBA, they are missing the pieces to make them a serious NBA championship favorite.
This is when NBA genius Pat Riley has to work his magic and surround the big three with the other pieces needed to make them into the dream team everyone knows they can be.
Wilson Chandler
With the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets, Wilson Chandler was a role player that was good at what he did. And he did everything.
Averaging more than 15 points and almost six rebounds per game off the bench, Chandler was one of the best role players in the NBA last season.
Chandler can be the player that takes the spot of Dwyane Wayne or LeBron James when they need to rest.
Glen Davis
The Boston Celtics may not be able to retain their big center Glen Davis, but Miami would love to have the Big Baby over to stay.
The enormous center has come into his own as a defensive staple during his time with the Celtics. That’s exactly what the Heat have been looking for.
Davis is an emotional player, and his history with the Celtics will rejuvenate the Heat’s hunt for a championship.
JJ Barea
The Miami Heat need help at the point guard position every season, but there isn’t a better backup point guard to Mario Chalmers than familiar foe JJ Barea.
Miami can keep Barea in the bench role that he had when he destroyed teams—including Miami—on the Dallas Mavericks' road to the NBA Championship.
While this wouldn’t improve the Heat's lack of a presence down low, Barea would be too good to pass up if he shows interest in signing with the team for a reasonable price.
