Urban Meyer Ohio State: Why Braxton Miller Stands to Benefit Most from Hiring
Nobody would benefit more from Urban Meyer coming to Ohio State than quarterback Braxton Miller.
Meyer coached Alex Smith to an undefeated season and engineered an offense to make him the No. 1 overall pick. He was instrumental in the development of Tim Tebow and will be able to get the most out of Miller.
Meyer brings a huge lift to recruiting and packing talent around Miller to be successful with the unlimited resources at his disposal would provide Miller with all of the tools he needs to be successful.
The offensive expertise Meyer brings can turn Miller into the best dual-threat quarterback in the nation.
Terrelle Pryor was dominant at Ohio State, but as great as he was, he could have been better. If Meyer would have gotten his hands on Pryor, the sky would have been the limit.
Miller isn't Pryor physically, but he's got the tools to dominate under Meyer. Once the system is established, Miller could easily see more success than Pryor just because he's in a better situation.
The Penn State scandal has dwarfed the Ohio State sanctions. Recruits are going to overlook the troubles at Ohio State for the chance to play for one of the best coaches in college football.
It looked like the Buckeyes were going to see a setback, but if everything goes according to plan, they're going to be miles ahead of where they were even before Ohio State landed in hot water.
Meyer to Ohio State is the best-case scenario for a talented quarterback like Miller, and nobody benefits more from the hiring than the young QB.
