BCS Rankings: Best Big Ten Team, Wisconsin or Michigan?

When deciding whether Wisconsin or Michigan has more to offer to a bowl selection committee, it must be like deciding between two good looking cars on a dealer’s lot.

With the bowl projections as they are right now, the Wolverines and Badgers are predicted to make trips to bowl games that stretch from the sunshine state of Florida, the bayou in Louisiana or the gorgeous California coast this postseason.

Those are some pretty good options for the boys from Ann Arbor and Madison.

Both teams have games tomorrow that could sway the selection committees.

Wisconsin has had a good season to this point but it could have been so much more if it weren’t for the back-to-back loses in late October on last second touchdowns on the road against Michigan State and Ohio State.

If the Badgers can knock off Leaders division front-runner Penn State in tomorrow afternoon’s game, Wisconsin can definitely improve their stock and could possibly make a Rose Bowl run if they beat Michigan State in a Big Ten title game rematch from earlier this season.

For the Maize and Blue, the story of the season is similar to that of the Badgers as the Wolverines have been a great team besides two games against Michigan State and Iowa where the offense seemingly broke down.

Looking ahead to this weekend, coach Brady Hoke and Michigan have a meeting with Ohio State at the Big House where the Wolverines can finally have a chance to knock off their fierce rival after being on the losing end for the last few seasons.

If both of those scenarios play out Saturday afternoon and in the upcoming Big Ten title game, the fans of Michigan and Wisconsin will definitely be making plans to attend their respective team’s bowl destination that will be in great locations and against great competition.
