Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Tennessee Titans: Spread Info, Line and Predictions

Eric BowmanNov 25, 2011

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to end their four game losing streak this Sunday when they hit the road to take on the Tennessee Titans

Neither team is playing as well as they hoped for, but a victory on Sunday will give the winner great confidence moving forward.

Injuries have hurt both teams, but it's a part of the game they have to overcome. The Buccaneers are a long shot for the playoffs, but the Titans still have a chance to win their division. However, Tennessee has to start playing better overall, and it will need some help along the way.

With that said, let's take a look at some specifics of this Week 12 showdown.

When: Sunday, Nov. 27 at 1:00 p.m. ET

Where: LP Field, Nashville, TN

Watch: FOX

Spread

The Titans are favored at -4, which seems about right. They're the better overall team, and playing at home will greatly help them. Still, though, I like the Buccaneers to right the ship and win this game outright.

Over/Under

The over/under is set at 43, and it's going to be higher. Neither team is superb enough at defense to limit the other, which is why this will be a fairly good game. Both teams will score touchdowns, making this an easy pick for the over.

Key Injuries

For the Buccaneers, DE Michael Bennett (groin) is listed as questionable.

For the Titans, DE Derrick Morgan (ankle) and K Rob Bironas (back) are questionable. QB Matt Hasselbeck (elbow) is probable.

Fantasy Big Plays

LeGarrette Blount needs to be in your starting lineup. The Buccaneers top running back has returned to form, and against the Titans' 23rd ranked run defense, he is going to shine bright.

The same goes for Chris Johnson, who despite being a huge fantasy bust this year, will have a great performance on Sunday. The Buccaneers' run defense ranks 27th in the NFL, and Johnson is going to put up good points for his owners.

A sleep in this game would be Nate Washington, who is coming off a fantastic performance against Atlanta. Tampa Bay's defense is much worse than the Falcons, meaning whichever QB is in the game, Washington will still have success.

Keys to Tampa Bay Win

The Buccaneers have to be able to run the ball effectively on Sunday, or it's going to be a long day. Tennessee isn't very good against the run, but if Tampa Bay doesn't come to play the offense will struggle to put points on the board.

Josh Freeman looked very good last week, and he needs to build off of that. The third year QB has to make smart decisions with the ball, or the Titans will easily win the game. Freeman has a touchdown interception ratio of 11-15, but he cannot be that type of QB on Sunday.

Keys to Tennessee Win

The Titans have to have a balanced offensive attack in order to win on Sunday. If Johnson is off his game like he has been numerous times this season, it will put a lot of pressure on a banged up Hasselbeck.

Tampa's defense is bad all over, meaning the Titans need to exploit them early and often.

Prediction

Tampa Bay 28, Titans 24
