Alabama vs. Auburn: Crimson Tide Will Embarrass Tigers in Front of Their Fans

Josh SchochNov 25, 2011

When the No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide travels to take on the No. 24 Auburn Tigers, the home fans will be crying when it's all said and done. This game will be the final hurdle in Alabama's quest to play in the BCS National Championship Game, and Nick Saban won't let his guys blow this opportunity.

The Crimson Tide have the best defense in the country, allowing only 8.4 points per game, including holding No. 1 LSU to only nine points in an overtime-thriller. It is next to impossible to score more than two touchdowns against the Tide.

The Tigers rely on their offense's ability to score as they allow more than 28 points per game. This team gave up 45 points to LSU, most of which came from the superior running game and defense of the No. 1 team in the country.

Alabama is very similar to LSU in the fact that they both have amazing defenses, great rushing attacks and the ability to pass the ball when necessary.

Saban is one of the best coaches in college football, period. He has had his player ready for every challenge that they have faced this season. There is no doubt that Saban will have his boys ready for the most important game of the season.

Saban has done a good job of readying his players for road games, and the team is undefeated on the road this season. It's a tough task getting teenagers ready to play in front of a hostile crowd of 40,000 plus, but Saban has found a way to do so.

Alabama has the star-power to embarrass the Tigers, led by a defense that could shut down some NFL teams, quarterback A.J. McCarron and Heisman-candidate running back Trent Richardson.

There is no doubt that this Alabama team is better than Auburn, and with Saban preparing these kids they will surely beat the Tigers by at least 20 points.
