Alabama vs. Auburn: Crimson Tide Will Bury Tigers in One-Sided Rivalry Game

Kyle VassaloNov 25, 2011

Despite losing to LSU, Alabama is still the best team in the nation. Auburn is going to prove once against that they can't hang with elite teams, and the Crimson Tide are going to roll against a Tigers team that can't keep up on either side of the ball.

Auburn looks great against teams who aren't ranked, and Auburn fans love to bring up their wins against Florida and then-No. 10 South Carolina, but their four losses this season point to just how bad their struggles have been when they take on dominant opponents.

Alabama has the No. 1 defense in the nation. Auburn's defense may force 25.2 PPG, but Alabama's ferocious defense isn't going to render any more than two scores.

To make matters worse for Auburn, Trent Richardson is the best player in this game and a serious contender for the Heisman Trophy.

With eight games of over 100 yards rushing and 20 touchdowns on the ground this season, Richardson is an unstoppable force that Auburn's porous defense won't be able to contain.

The Tigers have surrendered 38 or more points five times this season. Richardson is going to take over this game in a final attempt to literally run away with the Heisman.

The hate in this game won't propel Auburn to a victory. This game may have been a coin toss last season, but it's not Auburn's year.

Alabama is a lock for the BCS Title game and destroying Auburn on the road will be a great feather in their cap when they arrive.
