The End of the Road for the Latin American Xchange?

Jabot SingleterryDec 20, 2008

First off, let me say that LAX is one of my favorite tag teams, they're definitely in my top five.

TNA's Final Resolution saw the return of the Feast or Fired match. LAX fans watched on and rose to they're feet as both Homicide and Hernandez a.k.a "SuperMex" both walked out with separate briefcases.

As the contents of the of the cases would be revealed on Impact, Hernandez received a TNA World Title match and Homicide a shot at the X Division Title. So now the question is: Is this the end of LAX?

For the better part of the year, there had been rumors on different wrestling sites that the Latin American Xchange, the popular TNA tag team, could be coming to an end.

This year LAX won what was rightfully theirs: The TNA tag team championship. After winning the vacant belts in the "Deuces Wild" Tournament they would go on to defeat Team 3D to retain the tag belts until losing them to Beer Money (Robert Roode and James Storm).

With both men having cases and it's only a matter of time before they're going to cash them in, so I guess I'll give my own break down.

Hernandez: TNA World Title match

Right now Sting is champ and is also feuding with Frontline (Isn't Frontline the stuff you put on dogs and cats to prevent fleas and ticks?) alongside the Main Event Mafia. With Hernandez still grasping on to the Feast or Fired briefcase and Sting possibly about to leave MEM, Hernandez is going to wait for the right moment and catch Sting off guard.

Will he win the TNA World title? That's a whole 'nother article and quite frankly with no disrespect to Sting, Hernandez could knock him off in five minutes.

Homicide: X Division Title Match

With the X Division Title vacant, Homicide will challenge for the X Division Championship after the match which crowns the new X Division champion is over. Homicide will most likely win the X Division Title.

Now we answer the question: Is this the end of LAX?

If it's anything thing that breaks up a successful tag team it's jealousy. So if only one of these men win a title and jealousy decides to rear it's ugly little head, we can say goodbye to LAX. In the process, we can say hello to a great and violent feud.
