Cody's "Relationship Status" Should Change: The Hysterics Of Alabama

This past week the big news was that Terrence Cody was going to the NFL and leaving the Crimson Tide.

Fans were sick. What were we going to do without "Mount Cody?" This was a huge blow to the Crimson Tide and something completely unexpected. I mean, who does this guy think he is wanting to go and accomplish his dreams? The nerve of the guy.

Then the news came out.

The whole thing was a joke played by Cody's girlfriend. And, more than that, it was a joke that was started and spread on Facebook.

Now, you know you're in a new age when word travels not by television or newspapers, but by Facebook. Boy how the times have changed huh?

My question is, what kind of sick, twisted girl is this? Does she enjoy making people sick? Does she enjoy causing fans agony? Even Cody was surprised.

When asked if he was going to the pro's Cody simply said "Yeah that was a joke my girlfriend decided to play. I am not going to the pros yet. I had people calling and texting me about leaving and I was like 'What are you talking about?'"

And with that simple statement, the rest of the world felt a gust of wind as all of the Alabama fans let out a huge sigh of relief (Ok, maybe not gust. More like a tornado).

Cody is at Alabama another year at least. He has stated that "Saban convinced him to stay and helped him to realize that it would really be the better thing." Great job Saint Nick. That was the best Christmas present a girl could ask for.

So, Cody is at Alabama another year but will his girlfriend be? I don't know about you but there are a few things that are deal breakers for me (In no particular order).

1. Clingy: Can't do it. I need my space. I'm a very independent girl and I like my room to breathe.

2. Jealousy: A little is ok. But when you get to checking my recent calls, text messages, and all that, you have gone too far buddy.

3. Lying: Don't deal with it.

4. Cheating: Kind of goes with the lying part. Once you do it once, I probably won't be able to trust you again.

5. Huge ego: That whole "God created Earth so I could walk on it" attitude doesn't work for me. Sorry Tebow. Ha.

6. Not a sports fan: Now, you don't have to be a sports addict like I am, but knowing a good bit about sports helps. Otherwise, when we go to sports bars, you are going to be embarrassed. So really, I'm only thinking of you.

So, those are my deal breakers. Maybe Cody's should read something like mine with a number seven that says "Changes status on Facebook to something that causes me harassment by Alabama fans."
