Week 12 Fantasy Rankings: Calvin Johnson, Wes Welker and Stars Ready to Rebound

It’s already Week 12 of the fantasy football season, and it’s imperative that you start the right players at this point.

While last week may not have been the best in terms of numbers for these stars, you should expect big numbers this week and a solid rebound in points.

Stars like Calvin Johnson, Wes Welker and Rashard Mendenhall have had a bad couple of Sundays over the last few weeks, but it’s time for them to break out like a teenager before prom.

Calvin Johnson

The Detroit Lions had an amazing game last week, but it didn’t translate to points for Calvin Johnson on your fantasy team.

While five catches for 89 yards is a solid day for most wide receivers, it’s certainly not a good day for a wide receiver that has been scoring two touchdowns at a time.

With a game against Green Bay on Thanksgiving, this will be an example of how dominant Calvin Johnson can be. Look for eight catches for over 100 yards and a touchdown. 

Wes Welker

Two catches this week for Wes Welker had fantasy owners ripping their hair out. New England will not allow that to happen again.

While the Philadelphia Eagles have a stellar secondary, Welker will be a much bigger part of the Patriots offense against the Eagles' mediocre linebacker corps.

I am looking for 10 catches from the tiny star for over 100 yards and a touchdown. Talk about a comeback.

Rashard Mendenhall

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a bye week and looking to make their mark on the AFC.

With Big Ben ailing over a broken thumb, it will be up to the defense and the running of Rashard Mendenhall to beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

As long as the Steelers get back to Pittsburgh football, Mendenhall should get back to 22 carries over 130 yards and two touchdowns. Kansas City won’t know what hit them.
