NFL Week 12 Picks: Predicting the Worst Games of the Week

Zach KruseNov 23, 2011

In Week 12 of the NFL season, the following games should be the worst of the week:

Carolina Panthers at Indianapolis Colts

Could this be the Colts' best chance at getting that elusive win? You'd have to think so, even despite the occasional brilliance from rookie Cam Newton.

If Indy doesn't win at home against a 2-8 team, when does the first victory come?

Minnesota Vikings at Atlanta Falcons

The Vikings are banged up across the board, with two of their best players—Adrian Peterson on offense and Antoine Winfield on defense—out with injuries. Those would be tough injuries to overcome even if this was a good football team. At 2-8, the Vikings don't exactly fit that bill.

The Falcons should steamroll the Vikes at home.

Washington Redskins at Seattle Seahawks

Which quarterback or offense will play worse? The answer to that question should ultimately decide this one. The Seahawks, who have played really underrated defense in 2011, should have enough to keep Rex Grossman and the Redskins off the scoreboard.

Let's just hope we don't see another 6-3 game from Seattle.

Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams

The two bottom dwellers in the worst division in football face off in what should be a snoozer. The Cardinals are still without quarterback Kevin Kolb and the Rams have got a disappointing 2011 season from Sam Bradford.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs

With Tyler Palko under center, the Chiefs' slim hopes to defend their AFC West crown have all but vanished. He looked overmatched against the Patriots on Monday night, but the Steelers and their Top-Five defense present a much tougher task this week. Palko could be in for a long Sunday afternoon.
