Brandon Jennings: 3 Things He Wants You to Know About His New Bloodline Shoe
Bleacher Report was on site Tuesday as Brandon Jennings made an appearance at Foot Locker in Milwaukee to promote his new Micro G Bloodline shoe.
We caught up with Brandon for an exclusive interview concerning his new Under Armour shoe line, and he left us with three things he wants us to know about this new project.
This Is More Than a Shoe to Him
1 of 4Brandon Jennings was more involved in this shoe than you may think.
He did not just sit at a computer and randomly put a shoe together that he thought looked good.
“It's my second shoe. Last year we dropped Black Ice. This year is the Bloodline. This one is a little more personal to me, because I put a lot of effort into this one. It represents my son, which is the new bloodline to my family, and he is going to be carrying it for a long time.”
What is unique about this shoe line is the thought that went into it.
The design of the shoe, along with every color scheme, has a purpose and meaning behind it. Starting with growing up in Compton, CA to joining the Milwaukee Bucks and becoming a father, each shoe design has a special meaning to Brandon.
He even is releasing a special hunter addition of his shoe in honor of his time in Wisconsin. With a unique blend of camouflage coloring with hunter's orange, this design does the state of Wisconsin proud.
He was so involved in the design and concept of the shoe that he has his own office at Under Armour.
“With the lockout I have been staying positive. I am still an intern at Under Armour.”
Okay, so Brandon may not be your typical intern. But the amount of time and effort he put into the shoe is impressive.
He Believes Under Armour Is the Future of Shoes

When they decided to venture into the shoe market, they were looking for a young star to build the brand around, and they found that in Jennings.
Brandon is one of only a handful of Milwaukee Bucks to ever have their own signature shoe.
For a player from a small market to receive a nationally advertised shoe is a big deal.
It gives exposure to a city that needs it and shows potential free agents that it is possible to get endorsements while being a Milwaukee Buck.
From posters, commercials and online videos to social media, Under Armour has been putting everything they have behind Brandon Jennings and the Micro G Bloodline shoes.
He is confident that Under Armour is making an impact on the market.
“Under Armour has been great. They are putting out great shoes, and I am excited to be a part of it. Under Armour is taking over.”
He Appriciates the Fan Support

But if his interaction with his fans during this appearance is any indication, he has not let it go to his head.
He made it a point to sign autographs and take pictures with every single person who waited in line.
Hundreds of fans poured into Foot Locker to show their support for the Milwaukee Bucks' young star.
On many occasions, he signed multiple items for fans, and even signed both shoes for fans who purchased his Bloodline shoes.
“It’s amazing, man. The fact that the fans are still coming out knowing there is a lockout and everything like that. This is my fourth time working with Foot Locker, and I had to save the best for last, Milwaukee.”
