NFL Power Rankings Week 12: Latest Report for League's Hottest Teams
The Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers continue to be the NFL's hottest teams and it doesn't look like anything will cool them off.
The Packers are a perfect 10-0 and are led by their powerful offense, which currently ranks fourth in the NFL and averages 406.5 yards per game. Green Bay also leads the league in scoring, averaging 35.5 points per game.
For Green Bay, it all starts at quarterback. Aaron Rodgers is having an all-time great season. He has completed 238 of 329 passes for 3,168 yards, with a league-high 31 touchdowns and four interceptions so far this year.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Rodgers currently leads the NFL in touchdowns, completion percentage (72.3), yards per attempt (9.63) and quarterback rating (128.8). In fact, Rodgers' passer rating is 26.3 points higher than second place (Tom Brady 102.5).
The Packers are rolling right now. They're the best team in the NFL by a long shot and it doesn't look like anything can currently stop them.
Meanwhile, the 49ers have jumped out to a 9-1 record. However, they've done it because of their fantastic defense. San Francisco has taken on the personality of it's tough-as-nails head coach Jim Harbaugh.
The 49ers currently have the NFL's best run defense, allowing just 73.9 yards per game on the ground. Meanwhile, they are also surrendering the fewest points in the league (14.5 points per game). While the offense hasn't been prolific, quarterback Alex Smith has been efficient, posting a 93.9 passer rating.
If they hadn't blown a 24-14 lead to the Cowboys and turned it into a 27-24 overtime loss in Week 2, the 49ers would be undefeated just like the Packers. Considering what was expected of Harbaugh's team this year, that is simply remarkable.
After eight consecutive wins, the 49ers are extremely hot and have cemented themselves as the second-best team in the league. This Thursday's matchup with the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens will go a long way in showing just how good they really are.
