Why Miz and R-Truth Are the Most Original Heel Team in WWE History

Alas, based on last night's episode of Raw, the future for heel tandem Awesome Truth (Miz and R-Truth) doesn't exactly look too bright.

Not only did Miz, with some prodding from troublemaker John Cena, turn on his tag team partner and give him a brutal Skull Crushing Finale on the stage to close out the show, but it has emerged that Truth has currently been suspended by for 30 days for violating the company's wellness policy.  Oops.

Hey, maybe these two guys can work out their problems when Truth returns from his suspension. Group hug, everyone!

But even if they don't, let's try and remember the good times by recounting just how Awesome Truth were the most original tag team in WWE history....  

The Rapping Intro

Okay, so Miz has no apparent musical talent. And can't really dance or jig without looking a bit silly. But  Awesome Truth's musical intro, which saw R-Truth doing offending the fans in arenas all over the world by gleefully informing them, "You Suck," while Miz occasionally chimed in, was still fantastic and a memorable heel skit that managed to catch on with fans in a big way. 

Little Jimmy and the Vast Wrestling Conspiracy

Little Jimmy, Little Janey, the elaborate conspiracies...yes, R-Truth's crazed, paranoid rants, with a bemused Miz often smirking in the background, were genuinely hilarious. Never mind John Cena's never-ending collection of corny and sophomoric jokes--this is how comedy in pro-wrestling should be done.

And you know what? Based on the shoddy and damaging booking of Awesome Truth in recent months, we reckon Truth was right: there really was a conspiracy against them! 

Miz's Awesome Suits

How fabulous are The Miz's collection of '70s style suits? At a time when every main eventer has a very generic look and.or simply doesn't even try to dress themselves (Punk, Orton: Where are your pants?), Miz's cheesy, garish suits are a great part of his heel wardrobe. and something that have helped Awesome Truth stand out as one of the most original tag teams in quite some time. 

They Shocked the World at Hell in a Cell

When a fired Miz and Truth crashed WWE's Hell in a Cell event and viciously attacked all three competitors in the main event, as well as the referee and two cameramen, they shocked the entire wrestling world. It didn't matter that they were later dragged out by the cops and attacked by a furious Triple H, by inflicting such a brutal beatdown, they made themselves relevant to WWE's main event scene again--and managed to get their jobs back two weeks later when new Raw interim GM John Laurinaitis gave them contracts.

They're out to Get WWE's Referees

Let's face it: WWE referees are frighteningly incompetent bunch who probably all need to hand in their referee licences. Prone to wrong calls, easily distracted by female managers and often taking way too long too recover from relatively minor bumps... John McCarthy would be disgusted with them all! You'd almost think they were intentionally trying to act stupid or something.

Therefore, Awesome Truth's were perfectly justified in expressing their frustration and displeasure with them at the Night of Champions and Hell in a Cell events. Someone has to teach these useless officials the rules!
