Bills vs. Jets: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio, Game Time and More

Brian MaziqueNov 22, 2011

The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets desperately need a win to save their season.

For the Bills, things started with so much promise, but things have spiraled out of control. They are now 5-5, have lost three games in a row and haven't scored 12 points in any of them.

The Jets sit at 5-5 and two games out of first place in the AFC East. While they have lost their last two games, the New England Patriots have won their last two.

Both teams need a win to keep New England in sight.

At one time, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bills looked like an elite offense, but in this losing streak, they are averaging just under nine points per game.

The Jets have been blasted by inconsistencies with peaks and valleys.

They win two in a row, lose three in a row, win three and now they are trying to prevent the third consecutive loss.

Here are the specifics for tuning in to watch or listen this vital AFC East showdown:

When: Sunday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. EST

Where: MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.

Watch: CBS

Listen: 1050AM -  ESPN New York

Live Streaming Audio: NFL.com Audio Pass ($29.99 for year, $27.99 team specific, $9.99 a month)

Betting Line

According to vegasinsider.com, the Jets are seven-point favorites, but it could be even higher considering how bad the Bills' offense has looked lately and that fact that Fred Jackson may not play.

What's at Stake?

The Jets have more of a pulse right now, but this is a must-win for both teams. A division game this late when only two games separates three teams makes this the biggest game of the season for both squads.

Either team dropping to 5-6 will deal a significant blow to any playoff hopes.

Jets Injury Report

RB LaDainian Tomlinson did not practice and his status is uncertain.

RB Shonn Greene did practice.

WR Jeremy Kerley, TE Shawn Nelson and DB Brody Pool missed Week 11's game, but their statuses are uncertain.

Bills Injury Report

Fred Jackson left the Miami Dolphins game in Week 11 and he is questionable.

K Rian Lindell is out again with a shoulder injury.

DB George Wilson could return, but is questionable right now.

Fantasy Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, Sleeper

Start 'Em: Plaxico Burress (NYJ)

The Bills' defense has been suspect all year, with the exception of forcing turnovers.

In the last three games, the bigger and physical receiver from each team has led the way against the Buffalo secondary. That included a five-catch, 79-yard performance from Plaxico Burress in Week 9.

Burress should have an even better game at home.

Sit 'Em: Fred Jackson (Buffalo)

Jackson is not 100 percent and if he can't be an impact in the game, Chan Gailey will likely lean towards C.J. Spiller. There is too much uncertainty about Jackson's status.

Sleeper: Mark Sanchez (NYJ)

The much-maligned Jets QB is in line for a big day.

The Jets are at home and the Bills' defense has been manhandled in the losing streak. They are 24th in the NFL against the pass and have surrendered seven TD passes to only one INT in the last three games.

Sanchez should be good for 250 yards and two TDs.

What They're Saying

Brian Costello writes a Jets blog for the New York Post:

"

"Riding a two-game losing streak, Jets coach Rex Ryan turned to a motivational ploy this week to spark quarterback Mark Sanchez: Ryan has given backup quarterback Mark Brunell reps with the starters in an attempt to light a fire under Sanchez."

"

The Bills' porous defense is likely all the motivation Sanchez will need.

Brian Galliford of buffalorumblings.com says:

"

"Among the many unpopular figures in the Buffalo Bills organization at the moment, none has been the recipient of more fan vitriol than defensive coordinator George Edwards. The reasons should be obvious: Buffalo's defense has largely been terrible this season, and the team has an experienced defensive play-caller in Dave Wannstedt already on the coaching staff."

"

Wannstedt has not always had a ton of success as a head coach, but he is a proven defensive guru. It is at the point the Bills must do something before their strong start is wasted.

Jets Player to Watch: Mark Sanchez

Sanchez is the only player that could derail what should be a win for the Jets. If he doesn't take care of the ball, the Bills' once opportunistic defense will be revived and the Jets will go down.

Bills Player to Watch: Ryan Fitzpatrick

I hate to say this but the Bills' offense has tanked since Fitzpatrick signed his big extension. They blew out the Redskins 23-0 two days after the extension, but started their three-game skid the following week.

Fitzpatrick needs to get this once potent offense back on track. He will be charged with carrying the bulk of the offense as Jackson may not play.

Key Matchup: Plaxico Burress vs. Drayton Florence

Drayton Florence must do a better job against his assignment this week. It is true the scheme the Bills play doesn't genuinely leave a corner on an island, but there will be times that this is the case.

Florence has a tough job as he is the only Bills corner with enough size to contend with Burress deep even he is too small.

On the Hot Seat: Buffalo Defensive Coordinator George Edwards

The Bills' defense has struggled all year.

They have given up tons of yardage, including seven plays of over 40 yards through the air. When they were forcing turnovers, it was still a winning formula.

Now they aren't doing that either. Edwards' defensive play-calling duties could be on the line.

Prediction

This could easily be a blowout. The Bills are reeling with less of an identity to fall back on.

Fred Jackson either won't play or won't be at 100 percent. The offense is struggling as it is, and the defensive deficiencies make this a Bills loss.
