NFL Picks Week 12: Philadelphia Eagles and Teams Sure to Lose
With the NFL season rushing by faster than anyone could’ve anticipated, it’s time to make our picks for Week 12.
While there are many safe bets to win each week, this week is overflowing with games that have sure losers.
Teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions are solid, but a matchup against a tough team will be the downfall of these teams.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Philadelphia Eagles
While a victory over a tough New York Giants team was nice, the New England Patriots are not the New York Giants.
The Patriots will travel to Philadelphia to expose their secondary as the most overrated in the NFL, using a mixture of Tom Brady, the tight ends and Wes Welker to get the Eagles on their heels.
As bad as the New England defense has been this season, ranking in the bottom third for almost every major defensive statistic, the Eagles will most likely have Vince Young under center. That won’t help their cause much.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions have one of the oldest traditions when it comes to playing on Thanksgiving. The other tradition they will uphold is losing on this day.
This time it will be to division rival Green Bay Packers that will beat them on the biggest of stages.
This doesn’t say as much bad about the Detroit Lions as it says about just how damn good the Green Bay Packers are this season.
San Francisco 49ers
The most intriguing game on Thursday will be when you are trying to keep your eyes open after all the turkey.
The third and final game will feature the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers in what should be Alex Smith’s return to obscurity.
While it’s true that Smith has limited his turnovers this season, it’s also true that he hasn’t faced a ball-hawking defense quite like the one the Ravens have.
