NFL Insider: The Top 5 Quarterbacks in the NFL
Have you ever wondered which quarterbacks are at the top of their game in the NFL? This year you might wonder who’s taken the top spot usually held by Peyton Manning. Is Aaron Rodgers really the best quarterback in the league? Where does Tom Brady rank?
Let’s find out as we take a look at the top five quarterbacks in the NFL so far this season.
1. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
1 of 5The Packers are extremely lucky to have a guy like Rodgers playing for them and he’s the biggest reason why they are undefeated. Rodgers knows how to play the game, he knows his receivers and he knows his opponents. He’s very productive and has learned how to play the game well in a shorter period of time.
Rodgers has done a lot early in his career and has a long and solid career ahead of him. As long as he stays healthy the Packers are going to be consistent winners each and every season.
2. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
2 of 5Anyone who saw Brady’s first few games of the season knows that he’s still one of the best in the business and is a big reason why the Patriots are consistent. We have seen what Brady can do when he has a strong set of wide receivers and when his receivers are able to catch the ball—and it’s amazing. And to think of how he came into the league, the luck that he saw in gaining a start for the Patriots early on and where he has come to now.
Brady will continue to be one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the game this year and is definitely a future Hall of Fame player.
3. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
3 of 5Any team with Brees on it has a chance to win at any time and that’s exactly what the Saints have done. Brees is a smart player with a cannon for an arm and he can get passes out to his receivers on any part of the field. What’s even better about Brees is that he’s a leader on the field as well as on the sideline and players love playing with him. His coach, Sean Payton, loves coaching him and it shows.
Credit Brees for helping to turn this team around, get them to the Super Bowl a couple of seasons ago and make them one of the most offensively consistent teams in the NFL.
4. Ben Roethlisberger, Pittsburgh Steelers
4 of 5Big Ben has helped his team get to the Super Bowl on a consistent basis and even though there might be some people that don’t like him, he’s a proven winner. The Steelers have a solid team and they are led on offense by Roethlisberger, who may have his faults but still gets the job done and gets his team winning.
There is no doubt that he’s been one of the best quarterbacks in the league over the past few seasons and is one of the most consistent quarterbacks this year.
5. Eli Manning, New York Giants
5 of 5There may be some people that argue with this selection but looking at all of the quarterbacks in the NFL right now, Manning is one of the most consistent and is helping to keep his team winning. Manning and the Giants have found some success with their passing offense and have made some nice strides in the passing game.
Manning and the Giants are leading their division right now and if he and his offensive mates can continue to do what they have been doing, this team could easily win the NFC East.
