Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN reports Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones was once again divulged valuable information on his weekly radio address.
Among ruling out Jon Kitna and Tony Flammetta, he gave some insight into Miles Austin. That grand and amazing piece of information...he is questionable. It's clear the Cowboys have no idea when Austin will be able to play.
For fantasy owners, he is on the right side of coming back but I would still bank on using that backup you picked up weeks ago when Austin was injured. You did do that right?
UPDATE: Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 3:40 p.m. EST - Wesley O'Donnell
In no surprise at all, Austin Missed practice on Tuesday. The Cowboys, who play on a short week, were not expecting him back.
ESPN Dallas reports that Austin missed practice along with three other starters.
The Cowboys will continue to use Laurent Robinson in Austin's place.
The receiver could even see more looks as one of the other missing players was fullback Tony Fiammetta.
Keep using Robinson as you have been.
Fantasy Impact
Over the next few weeks, you will hear the name Laurent Robinson called on many occasions. He is quickly becoming one of Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo’s favorite targets.
With Dez Bryant drawing most of the top cornerbacks and the double coverage, it is Robinson’s job to be a playmaker. He has done well so far. Five touchdowns will do that for you.
Who's the Backup?
While Dez Bryant has taken his time getting adjusted to being the new No. 1 wide receiver in Austin’s absence, Laurent Robinson has had no issues finding his place as the No. 2.
Tony Romo looks to Robinson early and often in games. Fantasy owners should pick Robinson up immediately if he is still available in your league.
Devastation Scale (2 out of 10)
The Dallas Cowboys saw this coming a mile away. Miles Austin has been plagued with hamstring this season, and re-aggravations are very common.
With a player like Laurent Robinson in the wings, there is no need to rush Austin back until he feels as close to 100 percent as he can be.
