Tim DanielsNov 21, 2011

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson suffered a foot injury in the team's victory over the division rival New York Giants on Sunday night. With a game against the New England Patriots and their weak secondary in Week 12, the Eagles are hoping the ailment is only minor.

Keep checking back to this page throughout the week for all the latest information on his availability and potential fantasy value.

Even with the injury bug biting most of the Eagles superstars, they will not be without wide receiver DeSean Jackson against the Patriots.

According to Rotoworld, the controversial star is active and will have plenty of chances to make big plays with Jeremy Maclin sitting out.

How successful Jackson is depends on how effective Vince Young is. Fantasy owners should tread lightly when finalizing their lineups for the 4 p.m. games.

Jackson is going to be needed by the Eagles on Sunday, so it's great to hear from the Eagles official Twitter page that he is practicing today.

Jeremy Maclin is listed as doubtful, meaning the Eagles desperately need Jackson to play against the Patriots. Since New England is worst in the league against the pass, Jackson should have no trouble putting up great numbers if he ends up playing.

Practicing on Friday is a great indication he'll be ready to go, but be sure to check back on Sunday in case anything changes.

Eagles Insider, a Twitter accounted handled by the writers of Philadelphia's team website, reports that Jackon's injury is only a contusion. That's great news following reports of Jackson being in a walking boot following the game.

With Vince Young under center, Jackson caught six passes for the first time since Week 4. His fantasy stock might finally be on the rise again, and, barring a setback, he should be able to play next weekend. We'll learn a lot more over the next few days.
