Survivor Series 2011 Results: Next Step for John Morrison After Loss to Ziggler

Mark PareNov 20, 2011

At Survivor Series, Dolph Ziggler retained his United States Championship against John Morrison.

Morrison hasn't won a PPV match since SummerSlam, in a tag-team contest.  In singles matches, Morrison hasn't won since last year's TLC PPV, a ladder match against Sheamus.  How times have changed for the former ECW Champion.

Nearing the end of his contract, there are some rumours out there that Morrison is discussing options outside WWE, so coming off the loss to Ziggler, here is what is next for the Shaman of Sexy.

A Losing Streak Once Again

Everything about this article screams the end of John Morrison in the WWE, and when it comes down to it, those leaving a company have an obligation to put over as many people as possible, by any means necessary.

Morrison did the job at Survivor Series and with a couple of Monday nights left in the month of November, one can assume that if Morrison is wrestling, unless he's teaming with someone trying to get over, like Zack Ryder, Morrison will likely lose the match.

When the month of December hits, too few know where Morrison will even be.  Will he still remain in the WWE?  Is the WWE keeping secret the contract negotiations?

TNA Wrestling?

In terms of speculation, John Morrison could do very well in TNA.  Many former WWE stars have thrived in the TNA spotlight.

Former WWE Superstars like Elijah Burke, Matt Morgan, Christian, Frankie Kazarian, Rob Van Dam and Mr. Kennedy.  The list goes on and on but all have one thing in common: they left WWE and became bigger stars in TNA and in the case of Christian, came back to WWE and became more successful.

With Morrison reportedly on the way out of WWE, will he be added to the list?

What do you think?
